(France) During last 60 years, ADSEA 77, association for the protection of children and adolescents, has been working with young offenders, following offenses committed.
At the request of Justice Administration, our mission is to work around the principle of ‘reparation’. We want these teenagers feel the sens of their transgression. Before embarking on the path of reconciliation toward their victims, but also to themselves.
In this context our team builts various projects to promote active citizenship and respect to everyone. We think that these young people between 13 and 18 years (at the time of the crime) have the profile to raise the “challenge of forgiveness” after passing offenses.
Our objectives are: give informal reparation to crime; make young offenders establish their set of values, to live in community; discover the democratic values of European multiculturalism starting from the principles of respect of Law and persons.
